The 5th annual “Verona Fest” at the Ice Arena in Verona, WI will take place August 1st & 2nd, 2014. The event was started to help the arena’s financial trouble; it was such huge success and so much fun; we want to do it every year!
Verona Fest will be full of activities that should entertain all ages. The event is sure draw to hundreds of families to the Verona area and the Eagles Nest during the weekend.
The event is again hosted by Ice Inc. (volunteer group for arena operations), Verona Youth hockey, Ice Spirit Girls Hockey, & the Wildcat High School Hockey program.
We are very proud of the facility that we call home. Like any nonprofit group, the Ice Inc operates on a very tight budget. We are currently seeking sponsorships to help fund increasing day-to-day operating costs and much needed upgrades to the facility.
All donations are tax-deductible contributions. There are multiple levels of financial and non-financial support options ensuring that any size business or family can be a part of this historic weekend. Sponsorship information is included, as this would be an excellent opportunity for you to participate in helping hundreds of kids to skate at Verona’s “hometown” Ice Arena.
Thank you for your time; hope to see you at Verona Fest!

You're invited to join the Verona Wildcats Youth Hockey members on Sunday, June 15th in the Verona Hometown Days parade. We'd love a large group to help display the changes within the association.
Players should be at 61B by 11:00 AM to line up (details below). The parade starts at 12:00. Shirts will be provided and please bring your stick and hockey gloves.
Here are some more details regarding line up:
To help with traffic flow coming from outside of Verona, you should plan to enter the west side of Verona by using Bypass Exit 76. If you are coming from Madison, Verona Road 18-151, you can use Exit 81 and continue through Verona to West Verona Avenue. Please avoid using Exit 77/Hwy 69 as this will bring you to the crowded staging area. Also, Paoli Street at S. Nine Mound Road will be closed prior to the parade and cannot be used as an entry point to the staging area.
Parade entries numbered 1-39 should use the Legion Street entry point located by Wildcat Lanes. Entries 40 and above should use the West Verona Avenue/South Nine Mound entry point across from the UW Clinic. In order to avoid congestion and traffic jams, we ask that children of youth organizations be dropped off at Wildcat Lanes located at 415 West Verona Avenue. Parents are more than welcome to walk their children over or wait for volunteers who will also be on hand to assist youth groups over to the staging area.
Please do not park any vehicles in the lineup that are not in the parade. Parking is available in business lots along the street, just so long as you do not block driveways. Legion Street, Commerce Parkway and Half Mile Road offer additional parking for vehicles not in the parade.
Insurance, Safety and Weather Cancellations: No spraying water or throwing objects. You may hand candy and other items out along the curb to prevent children from running in to the street. No sirens or piercing horns however, music is always encouraged. Cancellation updates will be posted to our Facebook page and website: www.veronahometowndays.com. A decision to cancel the parade may not be made until mid-morning. Additional policies and regulations may be found in your original registration forms or on our website.
If you would like an article considered for posting on the SWE website, please email exactly what you would want posted to "email@example.com".
Submissions should include a title for the article, the body of the article, and optionally a picture or two. Submissions will be considered for relevance to the SWE Hockey program. Submissions can include, but are not limited to, tournament results, community outreach or upcoming events that involve the SWE hockey teams and program. Submitted article content may be editted prior to posting.
